The photograph
Head to head.
Najin and her daughter Fatu are the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. Neither can carry a calf.
They were grazing and moving about. At one point they stood facing each other, and I made this frame.
I photographed them at Ol Pejeta in the summer of 2023. They are also in my book, States of Nature.
The edition
Each print is signed and numbered by the artist. The edition is limited to 6 at this size.
